The notion that you can’t be both environmentally-conscious and attractive simply doesn’t hold water. Luckily, the new RainXchange rain barrel from Aquascape, Inc. does.

The company has announced the launch a new, decorative urn-style rain barrel, which can be incorporated into existing gutter and drainage systems. Made in the U.S.A., the barrel’s 75-gallon capacity allows for greater rainwater storage than most rain barrels on the marketplace today.

The unit does not require electricity, and the large, internal overflow system keeps water in the barrel away from the home. Other noteworthy features include a childproof lockable lid, and a screened gutten inlet. The product comes with a 5-year warranty.

“The RainXchange provides an economical and responsible solution for irrigating landscape plants,” states Dave Kelly, Vice President of Product Development for Aquascape. “Watering restrictions don’t apply to rain barrels and rain water is proven to be better for plants than municipally treated water.”
